This studio serves as the capstone project for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Architecture, centered on the theme "Architecture with an Impact." It emphasizes designing interventions that balance socio-cultural needs, internal spatial design, and external constraints, building on the previous studio's focus on urban streets.
Students tackle real-world issues, exploring their projects programmatically, technically, and creatively, while addressing social, cultural, and environmental impacts. Each studio follows a structured exploration based on the tutor’s expertise and student interests, culminating in a well-documented final design report.
The 16-week process is supported by lectures and talks covering user analysis, site context, programmatic planning, design development, and technology, all aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contemporary architectural advancements.
