Architectural Design Studio V
Module Coordinator : Mr Shawn
Tutor : Mr Shawn
The program highlights the concept of "place-making for urban communities." This semester will focus on investigating the concept of 'place-making' and architecture that responds to urban responsive design approaches. Developing design thinking as an architectural narrative, forming suggestions in poetic expressions to broaden the richness and meet the needs of the present and future ahead of the setting. The studio has two key components: a) townscape appraisal - urban contextual study, and b) responsive architectural design development.Following that, the primary project is to develop a design scheme that incorporates a sense of place and daily living in the urban neighborhood. The design work investigates the plan-section-elevation relationship in order to create architecture that functions as a vibrant block, exploring the full possibilities of the urban environment.
